This is a question we get a lot here at our agency. There are rules when bonding out a minor from the Tulsa Juvenile Detention Center. Only a parent can bond out a juvenile or a legal guardian. The juvenile will more than likely have rules to follow from the detention center while out on bond. They will have a curfew that they must adhere to. They must continue with their education as they have court dates. If an incident happened in school, they offer online schools so the juvenile continues to get their education. Please make sure your child will not run away because this will cause major problems with the courts and the bail bonds agency. If there is physical abuse toward a parent, please really think about this before you do it. Would you be safe at night? We tell you this because this happens so often nowadays.
These are all things a parent should consider before bonding with their children. If you still decide to bond with your child, we will assist you in those matters. We would just like the public to be aware of all the risks and dangers that each and every one of our children can face in this world. We are by no means trying to stereotype anyone; this is just what we have seen during the years we have been doing this. At the end of the day, you are the one who knows your child more than anyone else. I have a daughter as well, and trust me, I get scared more and more every day when I watch the news and read about some of the things they go through daily. Let us remember one thing: when we were in school, we had fire drills. Now they have assailants in campus drills. Just something for all adults to dwell on: that we are living in different times and nobody is safe anymore.
May you have a blessed day.
